Description We are offering an opportunity for a Collections Specialist in Los Angeles, California. This role involves managing credit and collections processes in the telecom industry. The position is a contract employment opportunity, where you will be working to understand why customers aren't paying and resolving issues to ensure payment is received.

Responsibilities:

• Processing customer credit applications with accuracy and efficiency

• Maintaining accurate customer credit records

• Resolving customer credit inquiries in a timely manner

• Monitoring customer credit accounts and taking appropriate action to collect delinquent payments

• Utilizing strong negotiation and communication skills to interact with customers

• Leveraging analytical skills to understand and resolve payment issues

• Utilizing knowledge of collection processes to ensure efficient operations

• Ensuring adherence to specifications and buying processes in relation to credit and collections

• Managing and resolving any disputes related to customer credit

• Utilizing laptop hardware and software in the execution of duties. Requirements • Proven experience as a Collections Specialist or similar role

• Strong knowledge of collection processes and laws related to debt collection (FDCPA)

• Proficient in using 'About Time' software

• Excellent customer service and negotiation skills

• Proficiency in using MS Office and database software

• Working knowledge of various collection techniques

• Familiarity with credit procedures and policies

• Experience in expense reporting and understanding of financial notes

• Familiarity with the buying processes, cost analysis, and purchase orders

• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information

• Experience in dealing with suppliers and creating specifications

• Understanding of agreements and dispute resolution procedures

• Basic knowledge of laptop hardware for troubleshooting minor issues

• Proficiency in English language

• Analytical skills with the ability to create and process financial spreadsheets

• Ability to explain complex information in a clear and concise manner

• Familiarity with 'Go' programming language and NIS software

• Ability to travel as per job requirements

• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with debtors.
