Description
Robert Half is looking for a Network Engineer with SME experience in Cisco network- LAN, WAN, Wireless.
Located in the Allentown, Pennsylvania area, this Network Engineer role is an opportunity for long-term contract / temporary to hire employment.
(Hybrid -3 days a week onsite in Allentown, Pa)
How you will make an impact:
-Provide SME support for Cisco network environment (LAN, WAN, wireless and network security).
Maintain a secure transfer of data to multiple locations via internal and external networks
Deliver high-level support and technical expertise in networking technology like hubs, bridges, hardware and routers
Collaborate closely with vendors, clients, carriers and technical staff on implementing, optimizing, and consistently managing of networks
Initiate and implement network test facilities
Use traditional and creative methods to engineer enterprise data, voice and video networks
Provide SME support (LAN, WAN, wireless and network security).
Perform analysis of network needs and contribute to design of network architecture, integration, and installation.
Requirements
More than 5 years of experience in IT Networking, with proven experience designing, building, and managing Cisco environments (switching, routing, security).
Preferred certifications in Cisco technologies or equivalent experience.
Cisco Wireless experience
Comprehensive knowledge of Cisco Networking
Well versed in network design and implementation strategies
A Bachelor’s degree in business/information systems or computer science.
Wireless: Cisco Wireless Solutions (including Meraki)
Identity Management: Cisco ISE
Nextgen Security: Palo Alto/Panorama and Cisco/Firepower
Internet Gateway: Zscaler
Email Gateway: Mimecast
Cloud Services and Hybrid Networking: AWS/Azure in combination with corporate systems
