Our client is looking for a hardworking and detail-oriented attorney to join as a member of our Legal team to oversee our corporate and commercial matters. The selected candidate will act as the primary attorney on all commercial transactions throughout the company. This position will be based ideally in Atlanta; however, remote applicants located in the United States are encouraged to apply. This position will report to Chief Legal & Privacy Officer.

Responsibilities:

• Draft and negotiate all company agreements, including: Sales contracts, Partnership, Product integration, vendor, and data processing agreements

• Identify and evaluate business and legal risks, and find creative ways to mitigate those risks while achieving business goals

• Manage contracting processes and commercial legal engagement across all business units

• Update company templates, on an ongoing basis, to reflect industry best practices

• Interact with executives on corporate legal issues

• Oversee various types of regulatory compliance

• Engage in risk mitigation efforts

• Deliver training and help educate internal business partners

• Design, build, and improve legal department processes as we continue to scale

Who You Are:

• JD degree from an accredited law school

• Must be a member in good standing of one or more state (Georgia preferred)

• Must have 3+ years or more legal experience

• Knowledge of: Corporate and commercial law; Understanding legal issues and assessing and managing business and legal risks; Regulatory and compliance issues; and a track record of providing value added business advice in additional to legal advice and dispute resolution matters

• Experience advising or working in a technology company in a legal capacity is preferred

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to distill complex legal concepts and into simple, actionable recommendations

• Strong project management, analytical skills and attention to detail

• Excellent legal and business judgment and verbal and written communication skills

• Familiarity with a variety of commercial, marketing and technology-related agreements

• Ability to multi-task, work independently and carry out important projects with limited oversight

• CIPP-US or other relevant privacy certification is preferred
