Role: Legal Assistant

Salary: $50-55k
Location: Midtown/Onsite
Our client, a prominent law firm located in Midtown is seeking an up-and-coming Legal Assistant to support the litigation practice. The ideal candidate will have sound technical and computer knowledge as well as excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
Your responsibilities
Prepare documents for photocopying/scanning
Amass documents and assemble data as directed by lawyers and paralegals
Uphold computer database input and retrieval
Construct correspondence and memorandum
Fulfill legal research and investigative tasks, including obtaining information or documents from outside parties, as directed
Explore databases and collect electronic documents from a variety of court and agency websites
Deposit e-files and documents into the proper folders
Quality check copies against originals and confirm copies
Handle matter management and record-keeping
Requirements
0-1 years of experience
Strong desire to work in a law firm setting
Strong technology experience including Excel and Word
Bachelor's Degree required
