Robert Half Payroll Clerk in Atlanta, Georgia

Description We are looking for a meticulous Payroll Clerk to join our team based in Atlanta, Georgia. In this role, you will be responsible for managing employee time and attendance records, answering inquiries, and resolving issues promptly and professionally. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity, providing a significant impact on our success by ensuring world-class service to our employees and retirees.

Responsibilities:

• Manage employee time and attendance records

• Resolve time and attendance issues in a professional and timely manner

• Provide excellent service to our employees and retirees

• Assist the Payroll Manager with various tasks related to payroll

• Handle personal, sick, vacation, time punch issues and provide solutions

• Support the Finance Department with the overall job responsibilities of the department

• Use 'ADP Workforce Now' for various payroll tasks

• Monitor 'Time and attendance' to maintain accurate records

• Interact with employees and managers to answer inquiries and resolve issues

• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to payroll operations standards and regulations. Requirements • The candidate must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a Payroll Clerk role or similar.

• Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now is required.

• Experience with Time and Attendance systems is essential.

• A strong attention to detail and the ability to handle confidential information is necessary.

• Candidates should have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• The ability to meet strict deadlines and work under pressure is crucial.

• Candidates should have strong mathematical and numerical skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, is needed.

• Experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment is beneficial.

• Knowledge of payroll tax laws and regulations at the federal, state, and local levels is required.

• Candidates should have the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
