Robert Half IT Infrastructure Engineer in Barberton, Ohio
Description Robert Half is seeking candidates to join their local client's team through their Systems Engineer position. You'll be a successful Systems Engineer is you are a key contributor to the maintenance and optimization of the client's network and wireless infrastructure. Your responsibilities
Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks
Consistently deliver the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
Control and watch all installed systems and infrastructure
Stand by for 2nd and 3rd level support
Observe and verify application performance for potential bottlenecks, mark possible solutions, and join with developers to instrument those fixes
Be involved the design of information and operational support systems
Administrate backup, security, and redundancy strategies
Connect with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
Maintain, test, configure, and install application software, operating systems, and system management tools Requirements - Applicants should have experience with monitoring systems
Candidates with proven working experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting various operating systems will be the best fit for this position
If you have solid experience in the administration and performance tuning of application stacks, you will be strongly preferred for this position
This position requires a candidate with solid scripting skills
If you're looking for job openings and have solid networking knowledge, you might be a good fit for this position
It is preferred for applicants to have experience with automation software
Applicants should have experience with virtualization and containerization
VMware experience
Command of Meraki
Hyper-V experience preferred
