Description
We are offering an opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in Bellevue, Washington. This role primarily involves handling the monthly accounting close, managing US and global payroll processes, and analyzing financial statements. You will also be expected to collaborate with various business partners, support external audit processes, and contribute to process improvements.
Responsibilities:
• Handle the monthly accounting close, including preparing journal entries, analyzing and explaining fluctuations and variances, and providing meaningful financial reporting to management
• Manage the US and global payroll process, including quarterly and year-end activities
• Use critical-thinking and Excel skills to analyze financial statements and underlying data; develop and present insights into financial results to management
• Perform monthly variance analysis on balance sheet and income statement accounts and research discrepancies
• Collaborate with cross-functional business partners including Finance, Operations, Tax, and Technology teams to maintain communication and support
• Work with technical teams to resolve issues related to unprocessed system transactions
• Support external audit process and escalate any inefficiency to management
• Review and approve AP and AR transactions
• Analyze current procedures, recommend, develop, and drive process improvements to achieve efficiency and scalability
• Assess internal controls, identify gaps in the control process, and design additional controls to solve deficiencies
• Support policies, procedures, and internal controls which protect company assets and ensure financial statement accuracy
• Conduct ad hoc research, project work, and analysis as assigned
• Assist in financial reporting at period ends
• Build trust with senior management through effective communication.
The salary range for this position is $95,000 to $115,000.

Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, and Journal Entries
• Proficient in use of Microsoft Excel
• Experience with Month End Close
• Ability to Analyze Variance, Explain Variance and conduct Ad Hoc Analysis
• Familiarity with Financial Reporting and Payroll
• Experience in Analyzing Financial Statements
• Prior involvement in External Audit and Internal Control
• Proven track record in Process Improvement
• Effective Communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• CPA or similar certification is preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and in a team setting
• Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity
• Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially
• Proficient time management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
