Description
Month-End Close: Lead the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate recording of financial transactions, reconciliation of accounts, and preparation of financial statements.
General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain the integrity of the general ledger by reviewing and posting journal entries, including accruals, prepayments, and allocations.
Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in accordance with GAAP and company policies. Analyze variances and trends to provide meaningful insights to management.
Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Perform complex balance sheet account reconciliations, including bank reconciliations, fixed assets, intercompany transactions, and accruals.
Intercompany Accounting: Oversee intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and eliminations. Ensure accuracy and timeliness of intercompany billing and settlements.
Revenue Recognition: Assist in revenue recognition process, including review of contracts, calculation of revenue recognition, and compliance with accounting standards (e.g., ASC 606).
Financial Analysis: Conduct detailed financial analysis and ad-hoc reporting to support management decision-making. Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost efficiencies.
Audit Support: Coordinate with external auditors and provide support during financial audits, reviews, and tax filings. Prepare audit schedules and respond to audit inquiries.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Stay current on accounting standards and updates.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, enhance controls, and automate repetitive tasks. Implement best practices to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Requirements
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in general ledger accounting or financial reporting roles.
Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial accounting principles.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with cross-functional teams.
Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Experience in a public accounting firm or public company environment is a plus.
