Description
We are in the search for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our financial services team based in Boston, Massachusetts. The role involves handling accounts payable tasks, working closely with banks, processing invoices, and managing vendor relationships and utilizing Workday software. The workplace setting is a blend of on-site and remote work, with initial weeks of on-site training.
Responsibilities:
• Processing invoices in a timely and accurate manner
• Managing vendor accounts and maintaining positive vendor relationships
• Working with banks and handling wire transfers as part of the accounts payable department
• Setting up vendor accounts and ensuring all details are up to date
• Utilizing accounting software systems such as Workday for various accounting functions
• Performing data entry tasks and resolving any discrepancies in the accounts payable process
• Checking processing and maintaining vendor files efficiently
• Employing Microsoft Excel for various accounting functions and data management
• Ensuring all accounting functions comply with financial policies and regulations.
Requirements
• Proficiency in using Accounting Software Systems
• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel
• Familiarity with Accounting Functions
• Expertise in Accounts Payable (AP)
• Experience with Check Processing
• Proficiency in Data Entry
• Ability to identify and resolve Discrepancies
• Knowledge of Workday is required
• Capability to Maintain Vendor Files
• Experience in Managing Vendor Relationships
