Robert Half Corporate Accountant - Private Equity in Boston, Massachusetts

Description

A prestigious and rapidly growing Private Equity firm based in Boston is looking to hire a Corporate Accountant to expand their finance team. The Corporate Accountant will be a critical part of the team, working closely with the Controller to deliver robust financial reporting to senior management.

Our client is a leading alternative investment manager with offices in Boston, New York, San Francisco, and London. The firm is a leading capital partner for North American middle market companies with a diverse portfolio.

What You’ll Be Doing

· Coordinating multiple work streams with the firm’s third-party administrator, ensuring that supporting documentation (invoices, approvals, etc.) are delivered on time and accurately

· Assisting with the quarterly close process, including preparing and/or reviewing closing, accrual and depreciation entries

· Preparing monthly balance sheet account reconciliations, P& L trending analysis, and management reporting

· Assisting external auditors with annual audit and tax team with reporting, filings, and K-1 packages

· Suggesting and supporting process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and service delivery

· Demonstrated consistency in meeting deadlines with quality work product

· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

· Ability to and manage competing and sometimes shifting priorities

· Strong communication skills and ability interact with all levels inside and outside the organization

What’s Needed – Basic Qualifications

· Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent

· At least one year of public accounting or corporate accounting experience

· Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP requirements

· Advanced Excel skills

What’s Needed – Preferred Qualifications

· Experience in private equity or financial services

· Advanced degree or certification

· Experience with Oracle’s NetSuite and Concur
