Robert Half Legal Assistant in Bound Brook, New Jersey

Description

Robert Half is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our client's real estate legal team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing administrative and clerical support to our attorneys, managing legal documentation, and facilitating smooth communication between clients, attorneys, and other stakeholders involved in real estate transactions. This role requires strong organizational skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Draft and prepare legal documents, including contracts, agreements, deeds, leases, and closing documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal requirements.

  • Organize, maintain, and update physical and electronic files and databases, ensuring that all documents are properly filed and easily accessible.

  • Serve as a liaison between clients, attorneys, real estate agents, lenders, and other parties involved in real estate transactions, providing updates and facilitating communication to ensure timely completion of transactions.

  • Conduct legal research and gather relevant information on real estate laws, regulations, and precedents to support attorneys in case preparation and decision-making.

  • Manage attorney calendars, schedule appointments, court dates, and deadlines, and coordinate meetings and conference calls.

  • Communicate with clients to gather necessary information, provide updates on case progress, and address inquiries or concerns in a professional and timely manner.

  • Administrative Support: Perform various administrative tasks, such as answering phones, handling correspondence, processing invoices, and maintaining office supplies inventory.

    Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a legal assistant, paralegal, or administrative assistant in a real estate law firm or legal department preferred.

  • Strong understanding of real estate law and legal procedures, with the ability to interpret and apply relevant statutes, regulations, and case law.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal software applications.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
