Robert Half Sr. Internal Auditor in Burlington, New Jersey

Description

Robert Half is currently working with a prominent company who is seeking a Senior Internal Auditor. As the Senior Internal Auditor you will be responsible for leading annual Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR) assessment procedures and operational internal audit projects related to business and IT processes throughout the organization. The Senior Internal Auditor will play a key role in all phases of the internal audit project lifecycle, including planning, scoping, fieldwork execution, and reporting.

How you will make an impact:

  • Lead, manage, and execute assigned internal audit project, including Internal Controls SOX testing, of varying complexity and scope covering financial, operational, strategic, technology and/or compliance risks.

  • Analyze business process and information technology controls applying problem-solving methods and data analysis to identify and recommend process improvements.

  • Identify innovative data analytic approaches to drive audit effectiveness and efficiency with technology.

  • Assess the impact of observations and present them in a persuasive and confident manner while writing clear, concise, and meaningful reports and/or presentations.

  • Work with management to develop action plans to remediate findings and address areas for improvement and track corrective actions through to completion.

    Requirements

The ideal Senior Internal Auditor candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or relevant internal audit experience.

Other requirements for the Senior Internal Auditor position include and are not limited to:

  • 3+ years proficiency in public accounting, consulting, or corporate accounting.

  • Knowledge or exposure to SOX compliance

  • CPA, CIA, CFE or PMP preferred.

  • Strong data analytical and visualization tools such as IDEA, ACL, PowerBI or Tableau a plus

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (primarily Excel)
