Description We are offering an engaging role for a Legal Assistant in Campbell, California, United States. This role is designed for individuals who have a keen interest in the legal industry, with the ability to manage a wide range of responsibilities. As a Legal Assistant, you will be dealing with a variety of tasks including calendaring, organizing files, managing mail, and preparing legal documents, primarily in the field of civil litigation.
Responsibilities:
• Manage legal calendaring using the Clio software system.
• Organize files and manage mail efficiently.
• Handle filing tasks and prepare pleadings for litigation processes.
• Develop and manage discovery and correspondence, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Proof court filings and manage e-filing systems.
• Handle word processing tasks efficiently and accurately.
• Gain exposure to both State and Federal legal processes, with a focus on civil litigation.
• Assist in preparing for trials and manage related tasks.
• Utilize case management software and other tools such as LexisNexis, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Office Suites to perform duties effectively.
• Handle complaints and issues related to the litigation process in a professional manner. Requirements
• Familiarity with Management Systems
• Microsoft Excel skills required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites
• Knowledge of Billing Functions
• Experience in Briefing
• Ability to manage Calendars effectively
• Experience in Complaint Handling
• Strong Documentation skills
• Civil Litigation Experience
• Knowledge of e-Filing
• Word Processing skills required
