For this exciting opportunity we are looking for an experienced and driven Director of Finance to lead all financial activities for their Indianapolis manufacturing. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in the continued growth and success of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Financial Leadership:

  • Direct and lead all financial and accounting activities, actively contributing to the achievement of the company’s significant growth objectives.

  • Automation and Reporting:

  • Develop and automate reporting on key metrics and business drivers, enhancing decision-making processes.

  • Cost Control and Process Improvement:

  • Spearhead manufacturing cost control and process improvement initiatives, including the automation and streamlining of manufacturing systems, transactions, and data access/reporting.

  • Financial Accounting Processes:

  • Oversee manufacturing, distribution, and purchasing financial accounting processes and controls, ensuring GL management & close, inventory control, and fixed assets management.

  • Standard Costing:

  • Manage the standard cost system and relevant data for effective variance reporting, analysis, and production planning. Oversee bills of material, item master, and product costing.

  • Budgeting and Forecasting:

  • Drive activity-based budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, providing insights for informed decision-making.

Qualifications:

  • Education and Certification:

  • Degree in Accounting/Finance. Continued education and certification are desirable.

  • Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an equivalent position at a manufacturing plant.

  • Floor Presence:

  • Proven ability to measure, report, and drive change with an active presence on the manufacturing floor.

  • ERP Expertise:

  • Deep experience and skills with ERP systems, in both financial and manufacturing modules.

  • Automation Experience:

  • Experience in the implementation and automation of transactions, processes, and data access within manufacturing systems.

  • Technical Skills:

  • Strong computer skills, particularly with Microsoft PC applications (Excel and PowerPoint).

  • Leadership and Relationship Building:

  • Ability to exercise independent initiative, utilize judgment consistent with a leadership role, and establish effective working relationships with colleagues, supervisors, and other company employees.
