Compensation: $75-85k

Company Overview:

Our client is an industry-leading, family-owned company that prides itself on innovation and excellence. They are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant with a strong background in inventory management to join our dynamic finance team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inventory Accounting: Oversee the accurate and timely recording of inventory transactions, including purchases, transfers, and adjustments. Implement and maintain effective inventory control procedures to minimize discrepancies and ensure accuracy.

  • Cost Accounting: Develop and maintain costing models for inventory valuation. Analyze cost variances and recommend corrective actions to improve cost efficiency.

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements related to inventory. Provide detailed variance analysis and communicate findings to management.

  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance inventory management processes and implement best practices. Streamline workflows to improve efficiency and accuracy in inventory accounting.

  • Audit and Compliance: Coordinate and participate in internal and external audits related to inventory. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.

  • Training and Development: Provide guidance and training to junior accounting staff on inventory-related processes. Stay informed about industry trends and changes in inventory accounting standards.

    Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting. CPA designation is a plus.

  • Experience with either Fixed Assets or Sales Tax

  • 2-5 years of progressive experience in accounting, with a focus on inventory management.

  • Strong knowledge of inventory accounting principles and cost accounting methodologies.

  • Experience with ERP systems and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
