About Us:
Robert Half client is extremely well-respected and currently seeking a skilled Staff Accountant with experience in non-profit accounting to join our team on a contract-to-hire basis.
Responsibilities:
Perform day-to-day accounting tasks including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and statements in accordance with GAAP and non-profit accounting standards.
Assist in the annual budgeting process and provide support for grant reporting and compliance.
Maintain fixed asset records and assist in the preparation of audit schedules.
Collaborate with program managers and other departments to provide financial analysis and support as needed.
Stay informed about changes in accounting regulations and best practices relevant to non-profit organizations.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in accounting roles, preferably in a non-profit organization.
Strong understanding of GAAP and non-profit accounting principles.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage Intacct) and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
