Robert Half Office Manager in Charlotte, North Carolina

Description We are offering an opportunity for an Accounting Clerk based in Charlotte, North Carolina. The focus of this position is to manage both administrative and accounting tasks, including accounts payable and receivable, billing, data entry, and bank reconciliations. The role is also responsible for office administration duties such as calendar and schedule management, ensuring the smooth operation of our business.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions to ensure timely and accurate processing of transactions

• Perform bank reconciliations to verify that our records are consistent with our bank statements

• Handle billing tasks, including invoice processing, to ensure accurate and prompt payment of services

• Conduct data entry tasks with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail

• Utilize software such as Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, and Viewpoint Vista for various accounting and administrative tasks

• Manage the collection of mail and the scheduling of appointments, contributing to the efficient running of the office

• Prepare presentations as needed to support business operations and decision-making

• Act as a simple bookkeeper for other businesses, ensuring accurate and up-to-date financial records

• Manage the check runs to ensure timely and accurate payments to suppliers and vendors

• Perform office administration tasks as needed to support the smooth operation of the business. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Accounting Clerk or in a similar role

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management

• Experience with Billing and Invoice Processing

• Proficiency in Data Entry and Microsoft Excel

• Experience using QuickBooks and Viewpoint Vista software

• Proven experience in Office Administration and Calendar Management

• Ability to perform Bank Reconciliations

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred.
