Job Description: Overall Job Purpose: Reviews and prepares tax returns in compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations. Coordinates with Company's affiliated entities regarding tax treatment of various items. Also, manages relationship with outside service providers. Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Reviews and/or prepares tax returns for Company's affiliated entity clients, including investment partnerships, corporations, individuals, trusts, gift tax returns and private foundations.
Reviews and/or prepares reconciliation of book and taxable income differences for investment partnerships.
Reviews and/or prepares book and tax allocations and capital accounts for partners in investment partnerships and private equity funds.
Reviews and/or prepares quarterly tax projection estimates. Interacts with outside service providers regarding tax estimate review.
Reviews and/or prepares calculations related to the corporate aircraft, including identifying specified individuals, costs and method of aggregation, disallowance computations and advice on income inclusion method.
Responds to federal and state income tax notices.
Reviews and/or prepares tax filings related to foreign bank accounts and foreign entities.
Assists CFO in identifying the tax consequences of proposed and completed transactions.
Performs special projects and other duties as assigned by the President, Chief Financial Officer or Controller Decision Making Accountability: Accountable for all assigned work, specifically accountable for the accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance of all tax, and associated account reporting. Relationships: Interacts with Company's affiliated entities, outside service providers to complete assigned responsibilities. Knowledge and Skill Required: In-depth knowledge of federal taxation of partnerships and its partners is required. Assumes a comprehensive knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and regulations governing income tax matters, and a working knowledge of company operations, functions and investment management services, as they relate to the tax and financial implications of actions planned or taken
