Robert Half Accounting Manager/Supervisor in Clinton Township, Michigan

Description If you're looking to work at a successful detail oriented Services organization that will recognize your efforts, Robert Half is seeking a talented Accounting Manager to work with a thriving company. Leading daily operations, such as preparing and/or reviewing appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger system, preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, and assisting with regulatory reporting as applicable will be essential for this role. In this role, it will be critical for you to have the ability to create and monitor the company's accounting and finance operations. This Accounting Manager role is a permanent employment opportunity, based in the Macomb County, Michigan area.

Your responsibilities in this role

  • Work alongside FP& A and accounting management to deliver relevant and timely reporting of financial data analytics like the monthly flash report, key financial metrics, and actual spend against budgets/outlook

  • Drive and manage the full accounting team performance of the close process to meet close deadlines

  • Working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is valuable

  • Assist in the implementation of NetSuite Financials, which includes designing systems and processes, migrating data, testing, training, and administrating

  • Assist in preparing GAAP financial statements, which includes data analysis, document preparation, integrity validation, and reconciliation processes

  • Prepare various technical accounting analyses, policies, and procedures

  • Review and analyze balance sheets and income statement accounts owned by the Senior Accountant Requirements - Recent relevant financial experience

  • Solid technology and analytical abilities

  • Working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is valuable

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent degree and/or experience

  • Month end closings experience

  • Microsoft Great Plains Solomon experience preferred

  • Deep understanding of general ledger

  • Accounts Payable (AP) experience desired

  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a customer service mindset
