Description

Robert Half has partnered with a respected non-profit that are seeking a skilled Financial Controller with expertise in grants management and a strong background in non-profit financial operations. The ideal candidate will possess a CPA or a Masters in Accounting, along with demonstrated experience in financial management within the non-profit sector. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who excels in problem-solving and is capable of working collaboratively as part of a team. Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.

  • Manage the organization's grants process, including grant proposal development, compliance, and reporting.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and accounting standards.

  • Prepare financial statements, budgets, and financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.

  • Conduct regular financial analysis to identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations for strategic decision-making.

  • Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory agencies as necessary.

  • Supervise accounting staff and provide guidance and support as needed.

  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment of financial goals with organizational objectives.

  • Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard assets and mitigate risk.

    Requirements

Qualifications:

  • CPA or Masters in Accounting required.

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in financial management, with specific experience in non-profit accounting and grants management.

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.

  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.

  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Prior experience in a supervisory or managerial role preferred.
