Description
Robert Half has partnered with a respected non-profit that are seeking a skilled Financial Controller with expertise in grants management and a strong background in non-profit financial operations. The ideal candidate will possess a CPA or a Masters in Accounting, along with demonstrated experience in financial management within the non-profit sector. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who excels in problem-solving and is capable of working collaboratively as part of a team. Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
Manage the organization's grants process, including grant proposal development, compliance, and reporting.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and accounting standards.
Prepare financial statements, budgets, and financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Conduct regular financial analysis to identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations for strategic decision-making.
Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory agencies as necessary.
Supervise accounting staff and provide guidance and support as needed.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment of financial goals with organizational objectives.
Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard assets and mitigate risk.
Requirements
Qualifications:
CPA or Masters in Accounting required.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in financial management, with specific experience in non-profit accounting and grants management.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.
Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Prior experience in a supervisory or managerial role preferred.
