Robert Half Programmer/Analyst: II (Intermediate) in Columbus, Ohio

Description A reputable company in need of a Programmer Analyst has partnered with Robert Half to find someone with a passion for formulating and defining systems scope and objectives who also has a strong understanding of software and applications programming and industry requirements. You would provide guidance on developing or altering applications or databases, employing research and fact-finding techniques. Key responsibilities

  • Evaluates processing procedures and suggests ways to improve

  • Analyzes user requests for changes or improvements to systems. Creates documents of functional requirements and reviews cost, feasibility and utility. Suggests how, when and whether to proceed with the changes

  • Assists internal clients with applications, systems and/or processes for identifying and resolving, processing/reporting programming problems. Provides consultation that can include troubleshooting and/or education

  • Create and test programming changes for every systems development phase prior to implementation. Write test cases and expected outcomes. Review results and verify that requirements are met. May develop simple tests or a defined subset of larger tests. May recommend acceptance/rejection if requirements are not all met

  • Provides continuing support for end users and other partner groups through continuing training and assistance for a specific application, system or process

  • Assists in the developing communication content for specific system changes being implemented in production

  • Analyzes and records issues, collaborating with other programmers to fix code problems

  • Creates dictionaries for applications and systems support by the analyst, and manages updates to maintain them Requirements - Foundational knowledge in Automation

  • Proficiency in database development

  • Experience with API Development

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Python

  • Background working with REST API

  • Software development life cycles experience desired

  • Earlier work involving Framework

  • Foundational knowledge in Openness

  • Kubernetes experience required

  • Web App experience highly preferred

  • Practical knowledge of CSS

  • Solid understanding of documentation

  • General familiarity with HTML

  • Comprehension of GIT

  • Previous experience working with Backend Development

  • JavaScript experience

  • Adeptness in SQL

  • ADO.NET experience highly desired

  • Command of Workstation Support

  • Hands-on experience with Patterns

  • Deep understanding of Intraction Flows

  • Jenkins experience preferred

  • Prior experience with Communicator

  • .NET experience highly valued

  • Good understanding of Deployments

  • Knowledge of PC and mainframe hardware/software

  • Essential project management skills, including project planning and tracking principles; project risk and issues identification, assessment, tracking, and mitigation

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

  • Previous experience as a project leader for the business portion of developmental applications or major systems improvements
