Key Responsibilities:
Perform essential duties for financial closing on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis for our insurance entity (and management company
Conduct thorough account reconciliations and manage journal entries.
Analyze and report on variances in key accounts, explaining fluctuations effectively.
Assist in compiling quarterly and annual financial statements and related disclosures.
Collaborate with external auditors by providing necessary support and explanations during financial statement audits.
Contribute to the creation, implementation, and maintenance of internal controls, policies, and procedures.
Assist the Controller in preparing materials for quarterly Board meetings, including presentations, industry highlights, and more.

Requirements
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in accounting.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in public accounting or relevant industry experience is preferred
Proficiency in GAAP and STAT reporting.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
Strong understanding of financial accounting and general ledger management.
