Description
We are seeking a talented Accountant to join an oil & gas company located in Uptown Dallas. The Accountant will be responsible for preparing month end close, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and other essential duties. This role requires a deep understanding of full cycle accounting and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements for various companies
• Develop and maintain journal entries and accruals
• Manage daily deposit coding and accounts payable coding
• Formulate quarterly income estimates
• Conduct bank and payroll reconciliations
• Maintain depreciation schedules for fixed assets
• Analyze and reconcile general ledger accounts
• Prepare monthly management reports
• Maintain customer relationships through account reconciliation
• Collaborate with field offices in maintaining financial information
• Provide support for external audits
• Interact with the internal tax department
• Execute other essential duties as assigned.
Requirements
• Must possess at least 2 years of accounting experience
• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, General Ledger, and Journal Entries is mandatory
• Demonstrated ability in Microsoft Excel is required
• Experience with Month End Close procedures is necessary
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills are required
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team is crucial
• CPA certification is considered an asset but not mandatory
• Must adhere to all ethical standards and comply with all relevant regulations and laws.
