Description A Tax Preparer position is looking to be filled by Robert Half located in the Dallas, Texas area. You will be performing essential Tax Preparer duties such as managing simple and complex State and Federal tax returns for individual and small business. Key responsibilities
Communicate with clients to gather necessary information/documents
Assist clients with incoming calls to facilitate tax questions and set appointments
Enter appropriate data into Tax software application
Undertake other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned
Manually prepare transaction tax returns utilizing various methods (Paper, E File, EDI Upload) with various government agencies
Calculate and invoice for form preparation fees Requirements - Ability to communicate verbally and in writing effectively throughout all levels of the company
Able to work independently with a minimal amount of oversight
Proficiency in payroll
Tax Preparer experience desired
Foundational knowledge in bookkeeping
Lacerte Tax Software experience preferred
Individual Tax Return experience highly desired
Proven knowledge of Corporate Tax Return
AA or BS/BA in Accounting or finance preferred
Competent with spreadsheets and databases
Ability to multitask and communicate effectively with individuals of all backgrounds
Data entry, document management, file creation and previous records experience required
