Robert Half Human Resources (HR) Assistant in Delano, California

Description We are seeking a dedicated Human Resources Assistant in the manufacturing industry based in Delano, California. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity, where you will be the primary individual conducting new hire orientations and providing general HR support. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate HR files, answering employee inquiries, and assisting with payroll functions among other duties.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct new hire orientations and assist in the planning and execution of special HR events.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date Human Resource files, records, and documentation.

• Answer frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.

• Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of Human Resource files and records.

• Perform periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.

• Provide clerical support to the HR department.

• Assist with payroll functions including processing, answering employee questions, and fixing processing errors.

• Act as a liaison between the organization and external benefits providers and vendors, which may include health, disability, and retirement plan providers.

• Assist in maintaining employee relations and managing benefit packages.

• Utilize Spanish language skills to communicate effectively within a bilingual environment. Requirements • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a Human Resources role within the manufacturing industry

• Proficient in conducting new hire orientations and managing employee relations

• Experience in administering and explaining benefit packages to employees

• Fluent in Spanish and able to conduct business in Spanish when necessary

• Familiarity with HR systems and databases

• Strong decision-making skills

• Excellent organizational abilities with an aptitude in problem-solving

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

• Knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
