Litigation Associate Attorney

Robert Half has partnered with an established civil litigation law firm who specializes in medical malpractice defense/management on the search for a 2+ years’ litigation association attorney to join their growing team. Candidates interested in this position should have an active license to practice law in Colorado. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Representing health care professionals and institutions in medical malpractice defense litigation

• Conducting thorough case investigations and evaluations

• Drafting and responding to legal pleadings and motions

• Conducting and defending depositions on behalf of clients

• Deposing witnesses, including medical experts

• Conducting legal research and analysis to develop effective defense strategies

• Participating in mediations and settlement agreements

• Negotiating settlements and representing clients in court proceedings

• Preparing for and potentially trying cases to verdict

• Collaborating with Partners and paralegals to manage caseloads efficiently

• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of laws, regulations, and industry trends related to medical malpractice and healthcare

• Other responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

• 2+ years’ litigation experience

• Licensed attorney to practice in Colorado

• Medical Malpractice, Products Liability, Insurance Defense Litigation

• Experience defending depositions

• Legal research

• Negotiating settlements

• Drafting pleadings, motions and other legal documents
