Accountemps is seeking experienced candidates for an Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable ongoing opportunity in the Des Moines metro area. This candidate should be able to perform the following duties: 1. Perform the accounts receivable function in the general ledger. - Accumulate documentation and set up accounts receivable batches for staff in the Personify database system. - Process accounts receivable payments including lock box, credit cards, checks, wire transfers, and other payments. 2. Perform cash receipt processing. - Ensures completion and accuracy of daily cash receipt processing and month end closing procedures. 3. Perform accounts payable. - Review and verify all data and enter all data in general ledger. Set up batches in general ledger to record invoices. - Process and code invoices and record general ledger number. - Run checks and print reports of checks that were issued. - Process ACH payments to payees in banking system and print reports of ACH's that were issued. - Perform check voids. 4.Send customer receipts for credit card and check payments and tax documentation. - Print out receipt from Personify database upon request and send via fax, email or mail. - Answer phone, fax and mail requests for proper tax documentation from companies for reimbursement purposes. 5. Assist with month end close. 6. Setup and maintain files for accounts receivable batches and accounts payable payments.

2- or 4-year degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience. Minimum 3 years of experience in high transaction AR and AP environment, lockbox and credit card processing desired but not required. Knowledge of Excel (required), Great Plains General Ledger (desired). Strong organization skills. Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Exercises attention to detail. Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Must maintain the highest standards of professionalism, integrity and confidentiality.
