Description We are offering an opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk in DETROIT, Michigan. This role primarily involves managing and processing customer credit applications, maintaining customer credit records, and resolving customer credit inquiries. The job function also includes monitoring customer credit accounts and taking necessary actions to collect delinquent payments.

Responsibilities:

• Process and manage customer credit applications with accuracy and efficiency

• Maintain and update customer credit records regularly

• Respond to and resolve customer credit inquiries in a timely manner

• Monitor customer credit accounts and identify delinquent payments

• Take appropriate actions to collect delinquent payments from customers

• Collaborate with various teams to make necessary adjustments on customer invoices

• Investigate discrepancies in invoices and remittances

• Utilize Accounts Receivable (AR) skills to manage and track customer payments

• Ensure all financial transactions are in compliance with company policies and regulations. Requirements • Proven experience in the role of an Accounts Payable Clerk or a similar position

• Proficiency in using financial software and databases

• Knowledge and understanding of Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information

• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

• Excellent analytical skills and ability to spot numerical errors

• Strong organization and time management skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong problem-solving abilities

• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• Knowledge of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles

• High school diploma required, associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field preferred
