Description
Job Description:
As a Plant Controller, you are primarily responsible for overseeing the financial operations of our client's plant facility in Dexter, MI, and act as a primary business partner to the plant manager. Your role would be to ensure the accuracy of our plant’s financial data, adherence to corporate financial policies and internal controls, as well as support planning and forecasting activities.
Responsibilities:
Overseeing the preparation and distribution of periodic financial statements for users other than those directly employed by the organization.
Directing and coordinating the company's financial planning and budget management functions.
Regularly perform financial forecasts and report any significant discrepancies or points of concern.
Making actionable recommendations on both strategy and operations based on financial analysis.
Directing the management of the organization's cash flow and ensuring its adequacy to meet the current and future forecasted needs.
Engaging with the plant manager in cost reduction analyses in all areas of the company.
Collaborating with management on development and execution of funding strategies.
Interacting with other managers to provide consultative support to planning initiatives through financial analyses, reports, and recommendations.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field, CPA or CMA is a plus.
Minimum of 6 years experience in a similar position, preferably within manufacturing industry.
Proficient in accounting and tax principles, audits, and reporting.
Deep understanding of business principles and practices.
Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Able to work effectively under pressure and meet established goals & objectives.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, and experience with ERP systems, with a preference for Plex
