Description
Robert Half is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tax Accountant to join our client in Dublin, CA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax preparation, planning, and compliance for individuals, businesses, and other entities. The Tax Accountant will be responsible for providing comprehensive tax services to our clients, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations while maximizing tax benefits.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and file tax returns for individuals, businesses, trusts, estates, and other entities. Conduct tax planning and provide strategic advice to minimize tax liabilities and optimize tax outcomes.
Stay up-to-date on changes in tax legislation and regulations to ensure compliance and provide accurate guidance to clients.
Research complex tax issues and provide recommendations based on findings.
Review financial records and transactions to ensure accurate reporting and compliance with tax laws and filing requirements.
Represent clients in dealings with tax authorities, including responding to inquiries, resolving disputes, and negotiating settlements.
Provide tax advisory services on various tax-related matters, such as estate planning, retirement planning, and investment strategies.
Collaborate with clients and internal teams to address tax-related issues and provide effective solutions.

Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or relevant certification preferred.
5+ years of experience in tax preparation, planning, and compliance.
Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in tax preparation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
