Description
You might be the dynamic Senior Internal Auditor Consultant Robert Half is looking for. Robert Half is filling a Senior Internal Auditor Consultant position for a rapidly growing client. This Senior Internal Auditor role will be a long-term project employment opportunity located in Dundee, Michigan. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing and determining the reliability of internal controls, supporting annual risk assessment and corporate compliance, preparing audit reports, reporting results to management and other related duties.
The day-to-day responsibilities include:
Supply technical consultation to process owners on internal control policies and SOX compliance
Oversee staff members assigned to projects, providing mentorship and reviewing deliverables
Coordinate with process owners to correct internal control deficiencies and execute operational improvement opportunities
Distinguish opportunities to increase efficiency and/or lower costs related to compliance effort
Coordinate with external auditors
Develop and execute the annual test plan
Prepare end-to-end process documentation including narratives, control descriptions, risk control matrices, test plans and test results evaluations
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have the following skill set:
Extensive finance and accounting knowledge, including detailed understanding of financial auditing
BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent degree and/or experience; Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) preferred
Big 4 accounting firm experience desired
5+ years of relevant experience in auditing and/or advisory
An analytical, quantitative and social skills
Annual Internal Audit experience desired
General understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley essentials
Customer service oriented communication skills
Solid grasp of risk assessment and risk-based auditing
