Robert Half Collections Analyst - Hybrid in Eagan, Minnesota

Description

Our client in the South Metro is looking for a Collections Analyst to assist for a long-term project that is remote. We are only considering local, Minnesota candidates at this time. Whether you are a new grad interested in accounting experience or a season collections specialist, please apply!

  • Track and monitor accounts receivable aspect of the organization.

  • Manage all collection activities, including sending follow-up inquiries, negotiating with past due accounts, and maintaining cash receipts.

  • Liaise with clients to address and resolve payment discrepancies and unapplied cash.

  • Review and control all credit requests and assess the risk involved with credit applications.

  • Provide aging reports and outstanding invoice details to management regularly.

  • Propose write-offs for non-collectible receivables.

  • Research and reconcile customer accounts.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure all financial operations are conducted smoothly.

  • Develop strategies to increase the number of timely payments.

  • Maintain a high degree of professionalism in all interactions with the clients.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.

  • Prior experience as a collections analyst, preferably within the same industry.

  • Strong understanding of billing process and credit policies.

  • Ability to handle and resolve conflicts and discrepancies effectively.

  • Strong working skills with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced in Excel.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.

  • Proficiency in using financial software and databases.

  • Exceptional ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

  • High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and data-driven decision-making abilities.

  • Knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
