Our medical industry client is seeking a Bookkeeper to join their growing practice here in Edmonton. Reporting to the Owners of the practice, the Bookkeeper is responsible for managing, preparing, and analyzing of monthly, and annual financial information. You will provide strong leadership to the accounting team, coordinate the financial reporting process including the managing the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll. The Bookkeeper will also be responsible the external audit requirements, accounting policy and procedure, and attend committee meetings as required. Requirements: The ideal candidate for this Bookkeeper role will possess 3+ years' experience working in a medical practice environment. You will have: knowledge of QuickBooks software; demonstrated ability to analyze, interpret and provide advice to internal and external parties with a high level of professionalism; experience in preparation of working papers for the year-end audit process; excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills; demonstrated leadership skills; a team-oriented style; excellent organizational skills with demonstrated ability to prioritize, set, foster and achieve high standards of performance, as well as, ethics and integrity and attention to detail while keeping the big picture in perspective.
