Robert Half Accounts Receivable Specialist in El Segundo, California
Description
We are seeking an AR clerk for a temporary assignment for 1-3 months.
Specific work tasks the role will complete: Researching aged credit balances, sending notices to customers, and prepare escheatment packages. Aged credit balances that may need to be escheated.
For the escheatment project, below is the scope so far:
Credits and payments dating between 2013 – 2022
Approx. 120 customers
Approx. 250 transactions
Approx. $414K total credits
Essential Duties include the following:
Process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts receivables’ data
Prepare bills, invoices and bank deposits
Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted
Verify discrepancies by and resolve clients’ billing issues
Facilitate payment of invoices and payments due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients and partners
Generate financial statements and reports detailing accounts receivable status
General bookkeeping tasks as needed.
The temp will assist in researching the credit balances, send out notices to customers and assist with preparing refund packages for customers that responds.
Requirements
Must have: QuickBooks experience; at least 3 years of AR experience; strong knowledge of Microsoft products (Excel, Word)
