Robert Half is looking to hire a bookkeeper for one of our long-time clients located in Ellicott City, MD. The primary function of this role is to manage vendors, process AP and expense reporting, and maintain accurate customer credit records. This role is vital to the company's success and sits on a very tenured and friendly team.
Responsibilities:
• Reviewing and processing approximately 40 expense reports weekly.
• Working within the general ledger, accounts payable and inputting journal entries.
• Process weekly check runs.
• Scan and maintain files.
• Assist in reconciling balance sheet accounts.
• Entering payroll journal entries in QuickBooks.
• Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
• Demonstrable experience in bookkeeping is required.
• Proficiency in using QuickBooks and Quickbooks Online tools is necessary.
• Experience handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is essential.
• Skills in account reconciliation and bank reconciliations are needed.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Excel for data entry and reporting tasks.
• Familiarity with payroll procedures and related software.
• Experience in carrying out month-end close activities is essential.
• Experience in expense reporting is required.
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in entering financial information.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
