Description

We are looking for a thorough, Director of Accounting to oversee our successful accounting team. This role is in the service industry and involves planning, organizing, and coordinating accounting functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the year-end close process, ensuring the successful completion of the company's tax filings, and preparing financial statements.

Responsibilities:

• Overseeing the planning, organization, and coordination of the year-end close process.

• Liaising with internal and external auditors to ensure a smooth audit process.

• Ensuring the successful completion of the company's tax filings.

• Preparing financial statements, including cash flow statements.

• Planning, budgeting, and authorizing expenditures.

• Managing the use of Accounting Software Systems, ADP - Financial Services, Concur, and DCAA.

• Overseeing ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and other accounting functions.

• Managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).

• Conducting auditing and overseeing budget processes.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services

• Familiarity with Concur

• Understanding of DCAA regulations

• Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems

• Ability to handle all Accounting Functions

• Expertise in Auditing

• Familiarity with Budget Processes

• Ability to lead and manage a team

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Must have a bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field, advanced degree preferred

• Professional certification such as CPA is highly desirable

• Proven experience in a similar role at a service industry organization

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

• Knowledge of federal, state, and company policies, procedures and regulations as related to accounting.
