Another very well-established, growing, and financial stable Construction Management Company is hiring. This diverse company prides itself on high quality and attention to detail. The title of the position can be Accounting Manager, Assistant Controller, Controller and or VP Accounting depending on experience. (you will see this role posted several times using different titles).
Core responsibilities include preparing detailed requisitions in accounting with project milestones and contractual agreements, project accounting, banking, budgeting and forecasting financial analysis and some general accounting.
Minimum requirements include:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, or related
• 7+ years minimum accounting experience in Commercial Real Estate Development or Construction Management
• Strong general accounting experience including general ledger account reconciliations, month end close and financial statement preparation
• Experience preparing 100% accurate and timely AIA Billings/Requisitions in order to receive payment from financing resources and to pay contractors
• The ability to travel at least once a week to job sites to confirm completion of development/ construction milestones and do collaborate with on site-accountants and Project Managers
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong project management skills and high standard for quality and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple high visibility, time sensitive projects at once.
• Professional presence and presentation
Pluses include:
• Procure Software experience
• Sage 300 (Timberline) Software experience
• MBA or CPA – not required
• Any experience working in Construction (summers during High School and or College)
• ROI Calculations
Base salary range $110,000 - $150,000 plus bonus depends on experience.
