Robert Half HR Generalist in Fort Collins, Colorado

Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented HR Generalist to join our team on a part-time basis. This role will be pivotal in supporting the human resources functions of our organization, with a focus on project-based initiatives and day-to-day HR operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HR policies and procedures, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to work independently to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities:

Project-Based Initiatives:

  • Update and revise the Paid Time Off (PTO) policy to align with company goals and regulations.

  • Review and update the employee handbook to ensure compliance with current laws and company policies.

  • Assist in implementing a performance management plan, including the development of performance evaluation templates and processes.

HR Maintenance:

  • Manage the recruitment process for open positions, including job postings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference checks.

  • Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, including orientation sessions and completion of necessary paperwork.

  • Coordinate offboarding procedures, including conducting exit interviews and ensuring compliance with termination protocols.

  • Monitor and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

  • Address and resolve employee relations issues, including conducting investigations and providing guidance to managers.

    Requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or related field (or equivalent work experience).

  • Proven experience in human resources roles, with a focus on policy development, handbook updates, and performance management initiatives.

  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.

  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification is preferred, but not required.
