Robert Half Finance and Accounting and Jessica Walker have an exciting opportunity for a newly created Senior Accountant to join a well-known client in Fort Worth! As Senior Accountant you will be involved with the daily accounting operations and working closely with the Controller, CFO and Ownership. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing financial statements, tracking cash reconciliations, and managing the general ledger. You will also handle daily bank transactions, monitor cash flow, and coordinate month-end closing activities.

Responsibilities:

• Compile and analyze financial data to prepare accurate and timely financial statements, which include income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

• Monitor cash transactions, reconcile bank accounts, and track credit card transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.

• Conduct regular bank reconciliations to verify the accuracy of recorded transactions and resolve any discrepancies promptly.

• Record and reconcile daily bank transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and transfers, to maintain accurate financial records.

• Maintain records of daily bank balances and monitor cash flow to ensure sufficient funds are available to meet operational needs.

• Manage the general ledger system and ensure the proper classification and recording of financial transactions in accordance with accounting standards and company policies.

• Coordinate month-end closing activities, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations, to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

• Collaborate with the Chief Operating Officer to provide financial updates and reports, including variance analysis, budget vs. actuals, and forecasting.

• Utilize the Agility accounting system to streamline accounting processes and enhance efficiency.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role as a Sr. Accountant

• Proficiency in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations

• Demonstrated experience with general ledger and journal entries

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Experience in month-end close activities

• Knowledge of NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP accounting software

• Familiarity with income statements and full cycle accounting

• Experience with intercompany transactions and depreciation

• Understanding of GAAP Accounting and US GAAP

• Proficient in cash flow management and financial statement preparation

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is preferred

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• High attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.
