Robert Half is supporting the recruiting efforts of a company in the construction industry to find a Senior Accountant. This is a full time, permanent position in Golden. It is 100% in office, and is paying $80-90k + bonus. Additional information and job requirements are below. Responsibilities:
• Oversee monthly bank reconciliations and ensure they are done accurately
• Prepare monthly journal entries, financial statements, reports, and records by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information
• Manage the reconciliation of general ledger accounts on a monthly basis
• Review monthly supplemental reporting schedules and make necessary adjustments
• Research and reconcile all accounting discrepancies to maintain accurate records
• Provide support during the annual and quarterly audits by preparing necessary documents and reports
• Complete and review Sales Tax, and other reporting as necessary
• Perform reconciliations and reporting to necessary parties
• Investigate and resolve any irregularities or inquiries concerning financial accounts
• Undertake other duties and special projects as assigned by management
Skills:
• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations
• Extensive knowledge of General Ledger management and Journal Entries
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience in Month End Close
• Familiarity with Viewpoint Vista software.
Requirements • Candidate must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in a Senior Accountant role or similar capacity
• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations is essential
• Demonstrable experience with General Ledger maintenance and Journal Entries
• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel are required
• Familiarity with Month End Close processes
• Knowledge of Viewpoint Vista software is desirable
• The candidate should possess strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required
• The candidate must have a strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
• A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required
• CPA certification is preferred but not mandatory
• The candidate must demonstrate the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
