We are currently partnering with a Maple Grove, Minnesota based manufacturing client in need of a Controller with strong plant and cost accounting experience. Candidate must have demonstrated leadership abilities in order to lead a growing team of accounting and finance professionals. Key responsibilities:
Lead a team of accounting and finance professionals responsible for corporate financial reporting and the manufacturing accounting process
Manage the monthly close process, including the preparation of the financial statements
Review monthly account reconciliations and journal entries for completeness and accuracy
Maintain the integrity of all plant accounting financial data
Analyze all manufacturing costs, both direct and indirect reporting on variances that exist
Interact directly with corporate finance personnel and plant staff to provide up to data financial information and KPI data
Partner with onsite operations management staff to ensure all financial questions are answers in a timely manner
Analyze and report on inventory levels
Hire, train and develop accounting and finance staff
Collaborate with executive team and partners to support efficient and effective company-wide operation

Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required
5+ years of accounting experience
Manufacturing/Cost accounting experience
Prior leadership experience highly desired
Strong working knowledge of relevant ERP systems
Advanced Excel experience
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally between multiple departments
Demonstrated ability to manage and develop staff members is highly desired.
