Description Candidates looking for Senior Financial Analyst opportunities might be interested in this long-term contract / contract position. This Senior Financial Analyst consultant role will our client's primary point of contact for all financial issues, including project spending, planning, forecasting and annual budgeting. Consider this Senior Financial Analyst consultant role if you want to perform analysis of the operating results and financial performance of core business segments supporting public reporting requirements, and provide decision-making support for future company investments. This Senior Financial Analyst will be situated in Greenwood Village, Colorado.
Your responsibilities in this role
Capable of communicating updates to senior management, analyzing financial results, and distilling/synthesizing key issues in the course of advancing existing management reporting
Implement financial analysis as part of business performance optimization
Make business, operational, and financial processes to be shared, understood, and repeated by relevant teams
Offer assistance for ad-hoc analysis and presentation requests as necessary
Cultivate positive relationships with key business partners and Finance/Accounting leadership
Coordinate with Functional leads to draft management reporting, accounting and compliance advisement, and guarantee alignment of operational initiatives
Evaluate financial results, summarize key trends, assess current and future business risks, and communicate critical updates all in the course of preparing monthly and quarterly reporting to senior leadership
Influence the accuracy and discretion of tracked financial results with Operations and Accounting in order to drive improved management reporting Requirements - Able to think critically and operate effectively with management
Necessary education includes a BA/BS degree in Finance, Business, or a related field
CPA/MBA preferred
Ability to simplify complex problems and build solutions
Skilled in working cross functionally across teams and gaining favor of key decision makers
Comprehensive knowledge of Cost of Goods Sold (COGS)
Anaplan experience
Practical knowledge of variance analysis
General familiarity with Cost Variance
Cash Flow Forecasts experience preferred
Oracle Fusion Financials experience
Adeptness in Microsoft SQL
Experience with Microsoft Excel
Variance Explanations experience highly preferred
Demonstrated knowledge of Power BI
Proven knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint
Prior experience with process reengineering and optimization
Expert Microsoft Excel skills required
Excellent written, verbal and social communication skills
Efficient in office systems, reporting software, databases and other BI tools recommended
