Treasury Manager
Hartford County / Hybrid Work Model
The Treasury Manager is a key member of the finance team responsible for overseeing all aspects of treasury operations, including cash positioning and forecasting, investment strategies, fund transfer activities, and financial risk assessment. This role plays a critical part in maintaining financial stability, optimizing cash flow, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee management and administration of bank accounts, including access, entitlements, and authorizations.
Serve as administrator for bank platforms.
Coordinate with banks on products, services, and suitability assessments.
Manage testing and implementation of new systems, interfaces, and processes.
Support treasury operations technology, including system configuration, administration, and reporting.
Oversee troubleshooting and resolution of system or bank feed issues.
Lead planning and testing of changes or upgrades.
Monitor daily cash positions and forecasts to ensure adequate liquidity for operational needs.
Develop and implement cash management strategies to optimize cash flow efficiency.
Execute fund transfers, wire transfers, and other cash transactions as needed.
Monitor debt covenants and reporting requirements.
Identify and assess financial risks, including interest rate, foreign exchange, and credit risks.
Prepare regular reports on cash flow, liquidity, and financial performance.
Manage bank fees, analyze management reporting on fee components, expense trends, and expected changes. Develop bank fee budgets.
Support and act as backup for other treasury operational activities including cash positioning/forecasting, wire transfer, and accounting.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field; Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CTP) preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in treasury management or related financial roles.
Strong understanding of financial markets, investment principles, and risk management techniques.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and make strategic recommendations.
Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
Experience with a Treasury Management System
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
