Robert Half Staff Accountant in Hendersonville, North Carolina
Description We are in search of a Staff Accountant for a client in Hendersonville, North Carolina. This is a direct permanent opportunity and all inquiries remain confidential!
As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for a range of accounting tasks, including maintaining accounts receivable and payable, preparing monthly bank and credit card reconciliations, and carrying out month-end processes. This role necessitates a keen eye for detail and proficiency in a range of accounting software.
Responsibilities • Prepare monthly bank and credit card reconciliations • Maintain accounts receivable and accounts payable • Maintain customer and vendor records • Prepare data entry, journal entries, and daily invoices • Track and report deposits • Prepare bi-weekly payroll • Carry out month-end processes • File monthly and quarterly sales tax • Assist the CEO and Director of Accounting on projects • Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks and SAP efficiently • Ensure adherence to accounting policies and regulations. Requirements
• Must possess proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Should be adept at performing Bank Reconciliations
• Experience with General Ledger management is necessary
• Must be capable of executing Journal Entries effectively
• Familiarity with Month End Close processes is required
• Proficiency in QuickBooks is expected
• Familiarity with SAP software is a plus
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory.
