Robert Half Tax Director/Manager - Corporate in Herndon, Virginia
Description We are recruiting for a Tax Director/Manager - Corporate in the Information Technology industry, located in Herndon, Virginia, 20171, United States. This role will involve managing and coordinating the preparation of the group’s US tax provision and compliance process, as well as overseeing domestic and international property tax filing and business taxes reporting process.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee and manage the preparation of the group’s US tax provision in cooperation with external service providers
• Coordinate the process of US federal and state tax compliance, providing support and guidance to external service providers
• Oversee the preparation of local tax provision for the group’s substantial subsidiaries in Europe, the Americas and Asia, working closely with the international accounting team
• Manage domestic and international property tax filing and other business taxes reporting process
• Facilitate communication with statutory auditors regarding tax provision and compliance
• Initiate and manage automation workflows for the group’s tax provision and compliance
• Collaborate with the tax director and outside counsel on the interpretation and implementation of US Internal Revenue Code changes
• Demonstrate strong process management skills and attention to detail
• Show commitment to organizational excellence and constant awareness to seek opportunities to improve processes/quality of deliverables
• Display excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in leading teams and coordinating with peers and other disciplines on driving projects/issues to closure
• Exhibit strong ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects/responsibilities and meet committed timelines, leveraging assistance/input from peers
• Show willingness to cover all gamut of tasks required to 'get a job done' as an effective team player in working with various disciplines and peer groups. Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (advanced degree or professional certification such as CPA preferred)
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the Information Technology industry
• Demonstrated expertise in Corporate Tax
• Familiarity with International Tax procedures and regulations
• Proven track record in ensuring Compliance in previous roles
• Ability to lead a team and manage complex tax projects
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy
• Advanced knowledge of tax software and databases
• Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines
• Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity.
