Description
Responsibilities
· Provide end-user support, encompassing tasks such as receiving calls, opening and logging service desk tickets, resolving quickly addressable issues, and appropriately routing or escalating trouble tickets to the relevant resource/vendor.
· Install and configure Windows hardware and software.
· Assist in supporting, administrating, and monitoring the shared service network platform, while also escalating advanced issues and outages to the hosted network provider.
· Contribute to the support and administration of the shared service voice/telephony solution, potentially collaborating with hosted voice vendors to resolve complex issues and outages.
· Collaborate with IT management on new projects aimed at enhancing shared service businesses.
· Perform installation, configuration, and maintenance of services, equipment, and devices, including rack and stack operations.
· Assist in the administration and support of affiliate email systems, particularly Office 365.
· Support and administer Active Directory, DHCP, print servers, and DNS services.
· Monitor the performance of IT systems and implement performance tuning measures as necessary.
· Collaborate with vendors to support and troubleshoot third-party business applications.
Qualifications
Associate or Bachelor degree in Information Technology preferred.
Strong troubleshooting skills and analytical abilities with attention to detail.
Basic Understanding of advanced concepts such as DNS, DHCP, SMTP, HTTP, SSL, OSI Model, TCP/IP, Routing, Switching and Firewalls.
Willingness to work flexible shifts and participate in an on-call rotation.
Proven skills in PC/mobile device repair, troubleshooting, deployment, and disposal.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with peers, management, contractors and vendors.
Systems Administration: Basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server Platforms as well as Active Directory, Group Policy, SQL Server and Exchange Server.
Excellent understanding of computers (both hardware and software).
Previous experience exercising high levels of initiative, judgment, and diplomacy required.
Proven ability to work successfully autonomously and in a team environment.
Requirements - Proven knowledge of ServiceNow ITSM
MS Windows 10 experience preferred
Well-founded grasp of Microsoft Office 365
Foundational knowledge in Active Directory
Ticketing System experience highly desired
Proficiency in Windows 11
Microsoft Exchange Server experience desired
Ability to quickly write reports, business correspondence, user instructions, and procedure manuals
