Description
As a crucial member of our team, the Platform Engineer will be pivotal in our digital transformation journey, focusing on application development using AWS stack technologies.
ROLE SUMMARY
As our AWS Platform Engineer, you'll be responsible for guiding the development and fine-tuning of our key technology platforms. This role requires a solid grounding in application programming, data engineering, platform design, and enterprise tech solutions.
Key Tasks:
Designing and maintaining application components on platforms including Databricks.
Daily monitoring and enhancement of our technology platforms for optimal performance.
Partnering with internal teams to implement customized platform improvements.
Deepening understanding of organization-wide data architecture.
Upholding stringent security protocols and compliance guidelines.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
Ideal candidates will possess:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field from a reputable institution.
Minimum 8 years' professional experience in AWS technologies focusing on the application side.
Proficiency in AWS design, incorporating microservices and cloud-native models.
Solid experience in data engineering, particularly for batch/real-time data pipelines.
Hands-on experience in crafting ETL/ELT workflows and data pipelines.
Good grasp of platforms such as Databricks, Dataiku, and AWS native data offerings.
Fluency in Python.
Practical knowledge of containerization technologies, like Docker.
Ability to work with modern SQL databases, data lakes, and warehouse architecture.
Proficiency in utilizing source control tools.
Experience with API management platforms.
This role requires a resourceful problem-solver with the ability to anticipate platform needs. Strong communication skills, capable of conveying complex concepts in a straightforward way, are highly desired.
Travel may be required up to 20% of the time. Relevant certifications in Application Development and AWS will be advantageous.
