Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Controller to join our team in Houston, Texas. This role requires an individual to oversee the financial operations of our company, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and accounting standards. You will also be responsible for providing strategic financial insights, preparing financial reports, and managing tax planning and compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all financial activities and ensure compliance with industry regulations, accounting standards, and SEC requirements

• Collaborate with executive leadership to provide strategic financial insights and support decision-making processes

• Assist in the preparation and presentation of accurate and timely financial reports

• Ensure the integrity and transparency of financial statements and disclosures

• Develop and update an internal monthly reporting package

• Play a key role in the budgeting and forecasting processes, providing financial guidance to support operational planning and resource allocation

• Establish a SOX 404 compliant internal control environment to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting

• Conduct regular assessments to identify and mitigate financial risks

• Improve the efficiency of accounting processes by implementing or optimizing tools/systems

• Manage tax planning and compliance, working closely with external advisors to optimize tax strategies

• Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors, facilitating a smooth and efficient audit process

• Address audit findings and implement recommendations to enhance financial processes

• Lead and develop a high-performing accounting team, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and professional growth. Requirements • Must hold the job function of a Controller

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in a relevant role

• Must possess skills including Month End Close, External Reporting, Financial Statement Preparation, and proficiency in NetSuite

• CPA certification is required

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office Suite

• Strong understanding of business practices and financial systems

• Strong leadership skills and ability to manage a team

• Must adhere to high ethical standards

• Ability to multitask and manage complex projects.
