Our client, an industry leader located in North Houston, is on the lookout for a dynamic Divisional Financial Controller to join their team on a permanent basis. As they navigate a period of remarkable growth and expansion through both organic means and acquisitions, this role presents a unique opportunity at the intersection of Accounting and Finance. We are seeking an individual who can seamlessly handle the Controllership responsibilities while also possessing a strategic financial mindset to drive, propose, and advise on business decisions using real-time financial data. In this role, you will become an invaluable business partner to the Senior Leadership of the Division.

Role Overview:

As the Divisional Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in the organization, overseeing your own Profit and Loss (P& L) for a $200MM operation and contributing significantly to the divisions forecasting efforts. You will actively participate in merger and acquisition activities, provide critical support to operational leadership, and serve as a trusted advisor for all financial matters within the division. Your responsibilities will include managing a dedicated team of at least 2 direct reports.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the P& L for the division, ensuring accuracy and accountability in financial reporting.

• Lead forecasting and budgeting initiatives, providing data-driven insights for decision-making.

• Contribute to merger and acquisition activities, bringing financial expertise to the table.

• Collaborate with operational leadership, offering financial guidance and strategic input.

• Serve as a trusted business advisor on financial matters for the division's leadership team.

Requirements:

To excel in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications:

• A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in both Accounting and Finance.

• Previous leadership experience as a Controller or Assistant Controller, ideally from a company with revenues of at least $200 million.

• CPA and/or MBA qualifications are highly preferred.

• Strong preference for candidates with a background in the services, engineering, or architecture industries.
