Description
Our client is currently in need of a Medical Collections Specialist REQUIRING transplant experience! The ideal candidates will have a strong sense of ownership and attention to detail. If the candidates reside in Houston, this is a hybrid role, going in office 3 days/week.
If candidates lives outside of Texas, this role can be fully remote!

Major responsibilities
Heavy appeals and denials experience and knowledge of cash applications (payment posting, refunds, and payment investigations.)
Experience with ICD-10, CPT codes, DRG, and UB04 billing and claim form submissions
Proven track record of maintaining a professional image in front of clients, communicating effectively, and building rapport with customers
Researching and resolving medical claims issues
Displaying good documentation skills
Researching overdue amounts for patients and insurance organizations and track account changes within practice management system
Oversee patient accounts and revise accordingly
Requirements
Transplant medical billing and collections experience REQUIRED! TOP PRIORITY FOR THIS ROLE!!!
High School diploma or equivalent required
Strong communication and social skills and able to receive criticism well
A real talent for the explanation of benefits (EOBs)
Previous experience with an electronic medical record system preferred
Minimum of 1 year of prior healthcare collections experience
Proficiency with Microsoft office applications
Medical collections experience
Knowledge of Microsoft Excel
